RERA agent registration in Maharashtra (2026)
If you broker, sell or facilitate real estate transactions in Maharashtra, you need to be registered as a real estate agent under MahaRERA. Operating without registration can attract penalties and legal action under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.
Who must register?
Individuals, partnership firms and companies engaged in sale or purchase of real estate projects (or plots) as agents, brokers or consultants in Maharashtra.
Documents typically required
- PAN and Aadhaar of the applicant / partners / directors
- Passport-size photographs
- Address proof of the business
- Partnership deed or certificate of incorporation (if applicable)
- ITR / financial statements as required by MahaRERA
- Photograph of the office / board
Validity & renewal
Agent registration is typically valid for five years and must be renewed before expiry. The Localise also handles renewals so you never miss a deadline.
How The Localise helps
We prepare your MahaRERA agent application, upload documents correctly, follow up until the registration certificate is issued, and guide you on ongoing compliance.
